About BMS

BMS is a private Lebanese educational institution, established in 1995. Its campus is situated off the Beirut International Airport Highway, only 5 – 10 minutes away from downtown Beirut. The campus consists of a six-storey building, designed to foster an open, bright, and inviting working atmosphere for students and staff. There are three open-air playgrounds and two enclosed play areas, in addition to a large gymnasium and theater and a new covered roof playground for upper school students.
 
The classrooms are designed to accommodate no more than 22 students to provide ample chance for optimum class interaction. The computer labs, science lab, and libraries are professionally equipped and set-up to be assimilated into and compliment the educational process at the school which largely encourages reading, research, communication, independent learning, and inquiry learning.
The Principal of the school is Mrs. Manahel Bitar Kobeissy, M.A. in Secondary Science Education and International Leadership Certificate from The Principal’s Training Center. Being an Associate member in ASCD, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, since 1997, Mrs. Kobeissy has brought to the school modern trends in education. An educator well-known for her vast knowledge in International, American and National curricula, Mrs. Kobeissy was elected for the position of Secretary to the MEIBA (Middle East International Baccalaureate association) for three terms. She also orients YES program students, organized by AMIDEAST, for courses they need to take in the United States during the year of their stay in order to reintegrate into the Lebanese program. The coordinators and teachers at the school are essentially academic professionals who possess the educational background and experience required to plan, execute, and facilitate successful and character-building learning experiences for our students. In addition, the entire administrative staff is very capable and runs school logistics efficiently.
